The Promised Land Experience brings the excitement of camp directly to local churches through youth rally-style events filled with preaching, games, friendly competition, music, and opportunities to hear and respond to God's Word. Designed primarily for young people ages 12 and up, PLX helps churches create meaningful experiences that encourage spiritual growth, build friendships, and point young people to Christ.

An Experience Tailored to Your Church

No two churches are exactly alike, and PLX is designed with that in mind. Each event is customized to fit the host church's facilities, resources, and capabilities. Whether your church has a gymnasium, outdoor field, large fellowship hall, or simply a sanctuary and available meeting space, we work with you to create an engaging experience that makes the most of what you have available.

Bringing Churches Together

PLX provides an opportunity for churches in the same area to come together for a time of fellowship, encouragement, and spiritual growth. In a world where young people can feel alone in their desire to live for Christ, these events help them see that there are other young believers and churches standing alongside them. Our desire is to strengthen Christian fellowship, encourage young people in their walk with the Lord, and remind them that they are part of something bigger than their own local church.

An Opportunity to Reach More Young People

PLX can also serve as an outreach opportunity for the host church. When churches promote their event throughout the community and invite neighboring churches, friends, and families, the gathering can reach young people who may not regularly attend church. The excitement, games, and friendly competition create an inviting atmosphere, while the preaching provides an opportunity to hear the Gospel. A well-promoted event can also help churches build relationships with visiting families and encourage young people to become more involved in a local church.

Accessible to Churches of All Sizes

Our desire is to make PLX accessible to churches without a required event fee. Events are hosted on a donation basis, allowing churches to participate regardless of their budget. Contributions help cover ministry expenses, develop new activities, and make it possible to continue bringing the Gospel to more young people.

We plan to set aside intentional time at camp for campers to have quiet, personal time with God. This is a foundational practice, and for those who may not know how to spend time with the Lord on their own, we want to provide a starting point.

To support this, we will provide devotional booklets created in-house that include a personal study section aligned with our current theme, “Who Am I? A Lesson on Identity.” Campers will be guided through the first day’s devotion during PLX, with dedicated time to begin and complete it.

A second lesson will be included for them to continue on their own throughout the week, encouraging them to build consistency in their personal walk with God beyond camp.

Game Time Explained:

We will provide all icebreaker games, team competitions, and free-time activities. Thanks to the generosity of God’s people, we have been able to raise funds for several large group games, including 9 Square, big ball volleyball, gagaball and bumper balls. We are continuing to raise support to expand our activities with more options such as laser tag, archery and many others that we hope to add to our collection soon!
