Letter #4: June 2023

We have now been on deputation for 2 months! Time has flown by! It is so hard to believe!

We closed on our house May 4th and then purchased our new truck and fifth wheel the next day! Considering we know absolutely nothing about fifth wheels, we really needed the Lord’s help and direction on this purchase. He provided the most perfect package for us and the most helpful/ knowledgeable sellers. They spent 3 hours educating us before they let us leave their driveway, not to mention, they let us call and pick their brains on things that come up along the way. Since purchasing our new “home”, we have been set up in Highland, MI and visiting churches in the area. We had 3 more churches bring us on for support!

The last week of June we attended mission courses through All Points Baptist Mission (Calvary Baptist Church, New Philly, Oh). It was an uplifting and encouraging time for us as we got to spend time with other missionaries. Mario had an opportunity to teach a teen class and Evelyn thoroughly enjoyed being in a kids class all week. She learned several new songs, made many crafts, and learned the ukulele! Mrs. Carol Morrison did a wonderful job of making sure the ladies knew they were loved and appreciated. She planned a whole day just for us ladies and there was lots of laughing and lots of crying (lol). Needless to say it was just what I (Emily) needed and I loved the day spent with all the ladies.

This week we are traveling down south! We’ll be spending the month of July in the Carolinas visiting churches and attending camp meetings. We have gotten word of several camps that have been abandoned so we plan to visit some prospective properties during the month. Now that we are getting used to this new way of living, Mario plans to get back on a consistent schedule with his podcast (Camp Promised Land on Spotify). Prayerfully, I (Emily) plan to begin a virtual ladies bible study for teen ladies in August! I have some fun things planned and really looking forward to getting to work with some teen girls even though we can't all be together physically!

Lastly, we are working with a graphic designer to create a promotional t-shirt for the camp! Hopefully we will have them up and ready to purchase on our website very soon! So much is happening - we are so excited! Follow along with us on Facebook for more frequent updates (Camp Promised Land)!

We truly appreciate your prayers as we are on the “deputation trail”. We have a lot of traveling ahead of us with our fifth wheel and we are so thankful for you bringing our names before our Heavenly Father.

With all our love,

Mario, Emily & Evelyn Chadinha
