Letter #3: March 2023

In our winter letter, we mentioned we were hoping to see prospective land in North Carolina after hunting season was over (since it had been temporarily taken off the market for this reason). Unfortunately, the land has not gone back on the market but we certainly know we can trust the Lord through this process. We are not disappointed or discouraged, we are excited to see what He does!

In January, we started working with Covenant Eyes, a monitoring app that can be placed on devices to help with pornography addiction. We realized how much of a problem this is in our present day and age. It is SO easily accessible and at our fingertips. We have begun working with a small group of teens that battle this addiction and have seen exciting growth in these teens.

February, we had the privilege of attending and singing at a couple Sweetheart Banquets. We also began calling churches to schedule meetings and now are scheduled up through October! We have also attended several meetings and 2 churches have brought us on for support!

March 5th, we had our Commission Service at Silvery Lane. It was a bittersweet service and we felt the Lord’s presence with us. As an added bonus, our little Evelyn was able to get baptized that same night with our friends and family there! At the beginning of March, we met with our realtor and discussed the process of listing our house for sale. March 30th was listing day! We decided to stay up north with family for the weekend and after 30+ showings, we received 6 offers by that next Monday (4 days later!!) and decided on an offer significantly over the asking price. We will be closing on our house May 1st and hope to purchase our new truck and fifth wheel the same week. Please pray with us about this!

There are only a couple (short) weeks until we close on our house, and begin deputation. We will be having our last teen activity at the end of April - a Mexican Christmas with pinatas, tacos and preaching - What could be better?? April 30th, we begin deputation and truly covet your prayers for our family! The Lord has done MIGHTY things for us so far and we CANNOT wait to see what He does next.

With all our love,

Mario, Emily and Evelyn Chadinha
